My practice is informed by proven treatment methods, both traditional and innovative.  I have been fortunate to have a wealth of professional experiences that have afforded me training from experts in the fields of mental health, substance abuse, psychiatry, and eating disorders.  In 2012 I opened a private practice, Illumine Counseling.  Through the practice of compassion, difficult emotions and distorted perceptions become receptive to change.  I would be glad to talk with you about whether therapy is right for you.

            I have worked in the mental health fields since 1990.  My experience includes work in both community and hospital settings.  In my most recent employment beyond private practice, I served as the administrative and clinical director for an intensive outpatient program specializing in the treatment of eating disorders.
